At the end of a long day, I turn down the lights and begin to read. This is relaxing and enjoyable part of my day. Books like Fully Loaded(mystery/thriller - one of my favorite genres). Is interesting, exciting and fun to read. Characters, plots and twists allows me to be absorbed into a different world. Dealing with highly technical material all day, this book and the series allows me just to relax and be entertained. I thank Mike Ryan for writing an exciting and fun book and series. I have enjoyed them so much that I prefer reading them over TV and I have bought and read the whole series. I hope that you will continue the series. Thank You.Product details

This series is entertaining but the plausibility runs a little thin. Rucker is hiding from the CIA but running around doing his brand of vigilante justice in all sorts of public places, leaving fingerprints everywhere and consistently interacting with the public. It is doubtful in this modern world that you could do this for more than a few days without getting caught on some camera, cell photo etc...
Recker is getting deeper involved in some places he would rather not, which is giving him problems. Mia his friend came to defense when he was shot. He is trying not to fall in love with her so he tries to keep his distance. However looking for a friend of hers might not turn out well. This is book 2. Going on to book 3.
An interesting concept about an ex-CIA agent who after leaving the agency ends up being the Silencer. Someone who tries to protect or prevent bad things from happening to good people. There are several events taking place in this book, the last activity is trying to locate a missing woman that just happens to be a close friend of his girlfriend.
I found this series to be not only enjoyable but also developing interesting characters who pursue meting out extra-judicial system enforcement aid to those victimized in various ways. Slightly reminiscent of the off beat TV series "A Person of Interest" which also has the chararacter duo of a computer geek and a 'secret agent man' of action. But in this series the literary device is better developed and adds to the interest. All in all a very good read.
The Recker series moves along quickly. It is exactly like the Person of Interest TV show. I enjoy all of Ryan's books, except for 1 thing they all have in common...they all need major editing. Its like they were written with a voice to text program that doesn't check for grammer. 'Read' for 'red' and some I couldn't figure out. Also, 1 page refers to one time period, the next page another. The CIA Ghost series had some of this, as well; however, there is so much of it in this series that it really detracts from the story, and is the reason for 3 stars.
I kept waiting for this book to start. Just one short scenario after another. Never developed a tangible plot. At least five scenes where Jones the geek kept chastising Recker the muscle to go out with Mia. Very boring. Still not as good as the original Person of Interest. This series is missing the gripping dynamics as was seen in the TV show.
Personal gripe I dislike authors who use the poor grammatic phrasing of "to try and..." anything. The better phrase is "to try to..."
